What is Virtual Reality?

What is Virtual Reality?

We experience the world as we know it through our perception and sensory system. We have been taught that we have five senses: taste, touch, smell, sight and hearing. However, these are merely our most obvious sense organs. The truth is that humans have many more senses than this, such as a sense of balance for example. Taking this into account it ensures that we enable our brains to process the rich flow of sensory information. Virtual reality technology does just that, it creates a three-dimensional world from the perception of the user.

  • VIRTUAL means near and REALITY is the human experience, so Virtual Reality means “Near to Reality”
  • it is the reproduction of a real environment or a computer generated reality accesible on a 3D – 360 degree platform.
  • it can allow a person to experience a venue as if he/she had been transported to the place.
